Cleaning the microwave.

Strange, wonder what it was? Tomato soup or a ready meal?
Hot water and vinegar rubbed in, followed by a sponge with lots of handwash liquid is my go to for stubborn kitchen stains.

A bowl of hot water and vinegar , simmer so all is covered in steam , carefully wipe down , watch out you don’t get burnt

Try soaking with WU Liquid and warm water a couple of times and see what happens.

Be careful, the lining in ours started to peel so we have had to buy a new one.
I thought it was stuck food, washed with hot soapy water and a sponge but it started to come away.

I'm always worried that once the surface starts to peel or crumble off, the machine becomes defective.
When we owned holiday properties, microwaves were one of the appliances we replaced regularly.
Good luck with trying other methods first though.

I need to get my oven cleaned so perhaps he will do the microwave as well. Added to my list of jobs.

I cleaned a v grubby microwave with accumulated, crusted-on splatters by putting a deep Pyrex bowl with hot water and squirt of WU liquid. Turned oven on for 5 minutes initially, then repeated until deposits softened and I could wipe them off. Effortless - but as others have said, be v careful - it’s basically steam cleaning and everything gets very hot.

I use the Pink Stuff lovely scent and doesn't contain bleach...

I use HG microwave cleaner.

I make sure that everything gets covered, but hubby boils milk for coffee, so I have to clean the ceiling regularly.

It is possible to repaint the inside, where it is just the edges

Learnt the hard way that it is best to always leave the door open after use. Before we did this the back corner became rusty. The same happened to my frlend’s microwave. Also my daughter had to renew hers for the same reason.

Ah this, especially dish soap that smells of lemon.

I woukd try squirt of a kitchen cleaning product, then cover (liberally) with bicarb, and leave it for an hour. Then use one of those scourers for non stick pans to gently wipe it off. ( cleaned my cooker glass this way- worked well!)

And ban hubby from using it!

Uncovered baked beans are notorious for exploding during the heating process in a microwave…….left too long and not cleaned off immediately results in them being baked on. Hence, I cover everything so there’s no splash and splatter and ours is easy to clean. The turntable is removed and wash in the WU bowl along with the pots, inside the MW just wiped with a damp cloth……….sorted.

Just use a washing up scoured then dry with a teatowel
