Rent one of those gorgeous National Trust properties overlooking the sea at Port Quin and then it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing! Just gaze at the amazing view. I’m desperate to stay there but they don’t allow dogs. I think most of our holidays in Cornwall consisted of sitting in the car in the rain with two kids and one or two dogs but it was warm wet. Before the kids went to school and then after they’d left home we always found that the best weather was when the school holidays were over.

I am Cornish although not living in Cornwall.

You may be lucky and have a glorious week, or it may be wet - but it will be milder than most of the U.K.

Just go for it and prepare for all eventualities

We want to go to Cornwall 1st week in September and trying to decide to go or not regarding the weather! Don’t mind the odd rain shower but not rain every day obviously. Have looked at several weather forecasts all saying different information so I said to my husband that I will ask the lovely people on gransnet who live down that way if they could give me the correct forecast. Thankyou.
