Replacement for Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) mobile phone

Have a look at Oppo phones, I was a big Samsung fan and advised to check Oppo out by the guy in the O2 shop, that was around 5 years ago. I recently bought another, as a replacement from Oppo direct. I have Sim only so it's not expensive. My phone is basically a Sumsung in a different name. It has all the extra knobs and whistles of the top of the range, but fraction of the price. I bought from Oppo direct, and just transferred my data across. Worth a look? (BTW the only advert I have seen for Oppe is on centre court at Wimbledon)

If you’re after something simple and reliable, check out the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G. Good battery, decent camera, solid for texts, WhatsApp etc., without breaking the bank.

Your phone SIM does not store your contact data. Changing a SIM doesn't affect data stored in a phone's memory.
The SIM deals with making a secure connection to your service provider.
(Typed using my Samsung S23 Ultra - a brilliant high-end phone with super camera but it's a bit larger than many phones - something to be considered when carrying it around if you put it a pocket or small bag.)

'monitor' wouldn't budge!

Another happy Samsung user here... Astounded - when my old SIM card was lost when trying out an alternative - that all my contacts were transferred on intact...but mebbe that's routine now. Will be needing a new monitor mobile soon, so following with interest.

I bought a Samsung S23 a few months ago to upgrade my previous Samsung and I’m very happy with it and it does everything I need. There is a newer version now the S25 but you can still buy the S23. I find Samsung phones very user friendly not cheapest but worth it I think. I find the shop assistants very helpful and love that they can transfer everything from my old phone and sync with the new with just a few clicks. Good luck with your hunt I know how daunting it can be.

Have you been into a shop to look and chat with a sales person re the different newer models.

You could call Samsung. I did that some time ago when I changed mine and though they were really helpful they thought the most expensive ones were best... of course.
