Hello all
Just wondering if there are any lovely ladies who haven’t had their winter fuel allowance yet?? Everyone l know of pensionable age has already heard from/ received theirs.
I started receiving my state pension in July of this year and l don’t have any other income. I also live alone. I’m just wondering if l’ve been missed off or there are still people who haven’t received it? Many thanks for any replies.😊

Payments are made November and December. Above is the official link for details about WFA

We’ve had the letter, but not paid in yet.

Usually turns up ok.

Also had the letter but no payment yet.

Ditto!

Add me to the list.

I usually receive the money very early December.

Same here. Mr C had his letter two weeks ahead of mine, neither payment has arrived yet. Not expecting anything until December.

Thanks ladies!
I might give them a ring as l haven’t received a letter yet, thank goodness it’s so mild!

I too have had a letter but I was under the impression that it was only payable to those on some kind of benefit, whether they were over the upper age limit or not. The first letter I received from DWP was very ambiguous.

Paid to all unless you have opted out.
For those on Incomes above £35,000 it will be collected back in Income tax.

My letter has only just arrived so they're still being sent out.

With around 13 million pensioners, the letters have to be printed in batches and also sent out in batches so as not to overload the Royal Mail. Mine arrived this week dated 15 October 2025.

The latest letter clearly says: Most payments are made in November and December … If you have not got your payment by 28 January 2026 call free on 0800 731 0160 … have your National Insurance number ready when you call.

My last payment was the boosted WFP in 2023 - £500 paid on 28 November 2023.

Have patience.

No Greyduster, it’s as usedtobeblonde says. If your income totals over £35,000 per annum then the payment will be taken back from you via the tax system. (I.e, they will pay it out but then take it back via the tax system). If your income is below £35,000 you will receive it and not have to pay anything back.

Had my letter last week telling me I was getting it. Had my warm home discount from Eon added to my credit last month.

I've had the letter telling me that I qualify for the WFA.
But not actually received it yet.
Also, I've had an email from my energy provider to say I will be getting £150 .This is puzzling as I haven't had it in previous years. Thank you though.

Had our letters last week. Payment should be received November or December. It gives a number to ring if not received by the end of January.

Every one on SP receives it, but those whose income exceeds 35K p.a. will have it taken back through the tax system.
