Excercise Apps

So many free videos, I have not bothered with apps, but I think these guys have one www.gethealthyutv.com/video/10-minute-total-body-strength-2-034888/

On my calendar I have my Tai Chi class listed. Nosy Google reads my calendar and sends me ads for Tai Chi aps for "senior beginners" I have not looked at them, but I do enjoy my regular class organised by AgeUK.

I like Alyssa Kuhn, a physio who specialises in Osteoarthritis, and Will Harlow, another physio specialising in the over 50s. They both provide exercises to increase and maintain fitness. Both are free online thought you can pay to join programmes. I stick to the free ones, worth a look, and you can sign up for free weekly updates on exercise tips and short videos. Good luck.

During covid I exercised to 'fabulous 50s' videos I found on utube. Some pilates type exercises and weight/strength programmes. I enjoyed them and found when I returned to the gym I was actually fitter than pre covid. And no I am neither in my 50s or fabulous

I've been a member of Goodnick, an online exercise class, for a couple of years. I enjoy the classes and have stuck to them, which is a first for me. The taster classes are free but, if you continue, there is a charge.

Senior Shape with Lauren. Her videos are varied but geared to beginners and seniors. I am in decent shape and get a good workout every time...no yelling, no loud music, no pushiness, just good routines that aren't overly arduous or intimidating.

Thank you both. I count my steps each day on my watch and aim for over 7000 but I need something more structured for yoga or strength training. I keep downloading free apps only to find they aren’t!!

When I was recovering from chemo I used MapMyWalk to make sure that I was walking a little further or a little faster each day.

There is one called Lazy Fit, you can choose what levels you want.
