A head torch with LED lights instead of a bulb? I have bought them for family stockings. Great for dog walking and anything that needs hands-free illumination.

This might sound naff but what about a few nice pens? (Biros.) My DH is forever losing pens; might be a suitable gift if you know of someone with a similar habit?

I got DH a head torch last Christmas as a wee extra present and it went down very well.

A bendy torch that’s magnetic at both ends! Perfect for locating anything and retrieving many a screw, nut, bolt, key etc. and the magnet means you can attach it to most metal surfaces……..car bonnet, boot lid. My OH thinks his is great.

Power bank - they vary in price but Tik Tok shop have some good cheap ones and they are really useful for charging everything. Saves having to take loads of wires away. I am giving them to everyone this Christmas.

I just bought a mug warming coaster with usb so that when my husband has a cuppa, it doesn't go cold and end up tipped down the sink! I got it in Next for £10.

Love this list — it’s the perfect mix of treats and actually useful stuff. You could even add something quirky like a pocket puzzle inspired by Escape Road. Nothing big, just a little brain-teaser to go with the torch and snacks — kind of a cosy winter survival kit!

I was giving my adult grandson some money but like something to open to I found some golf tees which you can have the name put on I think there’s three in a packet and not expensive at all abut £12 I think
