I wrap a towel round my head as I get out of the shower, dry myself, give my hair a rub and then leave it to dry itself.

Brush when dry.

A great deal depends the actual texture of our hair. Mine is very fine and I have a sensitive scalp so volume products, and sprays are out of the question for me.
A good hairdresser will understand the clients hair, direction of growth etc and suggest styles accordingly. I see mine tomorrow and she is worth her weight in gold. Not cheap, but at least I don’t get a ‘knife and fork’ job done on my hair.
Start with a good style and watch how the stylist creates it when drying etc.

Have you tried drying your hair by leaning forward and directing the heat from the hair dryer at the nap forwards ?
Then styling it .

Hi Molly. I’m not very good with hair, mines short just over my ears, I’d prefer it shorter but I have hearing aids so keep them covered.
I use a hot brush, I wash my hair then use a spray jel. Even though it’s thick it doesn’t take long I then brush it out just gives a bit of lift.

I’ve always dried my short hair using a brush and a hairdryer just to give it a bit of a lift. What do others find really useful? There are so many on offer at the moment.
