All my 11 groups are on hold until the first week of January but I relish the break. Added to the groups I collect GC 3 sometimes more times a week from their schools. It gives me some time to do as little or as much as I want. Recharges the ageing batteries.

I look around for the “One offs”.

There’s a “just turn up” walk in the Park on Boxing Day and the cafe usually opens for drinks after. And some other walks that I’m not fit enough for now.

The Cinema or theatre or local concerts.

Young farmers put on a Tractor run or a wheelbarrow race to go and cheer on.

A couple of projects at home

A nice free ride through the countryside on a bus😬

Just stuff really

Hopefully catch up on the "to do" list. Various things have been put to one side to deal with health problems - so something had to give and it was the "to do" list.

Had to learn that one way back in the university city I come from - as things went dead in August. I don't suppose conventional social life did - but the sort of things I did ratcheted down a lot.

My normally busy life of groups and activities is about to shut down for two weeks. Apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve I have nothing in the diary for that time.

I do have a long To Do list, but I shall miss seeing other people.
What do you do at this time if you live alone?
