Hi GNs , has anyone purchased this cute little puppy toy?
Wondering if some media reports are exaggerated?
The Wuffy is advertised online and children are off their phones to play with their Wuffy…

It’s a scam and I got caught when somebody asked me to by it for them for Christmas.

I don’t think Gransnet will do a video but I’ll try a photo.

It doesn’t do anything like you see on the internet. A cheap toy that sort of goes backwards and forwards a bit. Probably you can buy them in the market for a fiver.

The videos on WhatsApp. I can’t upload it to Gransnet. Sorry.

I wanted to buy a Wuffy for my granddaughter.
I'm really glad that I checked the reviews.
The dog supplied is cheap and tacky and certainly not as advertised.

TBH it doesn't look any different to one my MIL bought my DD back in the 80s, she bought it Debenhams if I remember rightly, that was battery operated barked, walked then got up on its hind legs. Yes she played with it but only in short bursts of 5 mins, This one is probably a bit more sophisticated. The age group that it is aimed at shouldn't really be on phones but that's another problem. If you are buying for anything older than 8years old I would not bother then probably more a girl thing than boy. You know your GC best if they are the type to like snuggling up with a fluffy toy but don't expect miracles.

It’s not snuggly. It’s hard plastic covered with thin artificial fur. Not even any good for a cuddle.

When I worked in an office overlooking Oxford Street London W1 during the 1960s, there used to be a man who pitched on the pavement and he sold battery operated toy dogs that jiggled about a bit and did a squeaky bark. They looked very like the ones people have received. If a policeman came into view the man used to pack everything away quickly and leg it.

Well thank you for reviews... The ad online showed a completely different story so will not bother ordering one!

This is why I don't buy on-line. You can be easily fooled.

I bought a cheap version. It looked nothing like the advertising videos, not lifelike at all, and I couldn't work out how to operate it. It ended up in the village Swap Shop hoping someone would enjoy it.
