Can anyone recommend a phone app for creating to do lists?

Notes apps on Android seem good. I have experience of the Samsung Notes app and it's very good at keeping lists.

Personally, when I have done a particular task (or picked something up from the shopping list I compiled), I add a 'thumbs up' emoji next to it so I can see it's sorted.

If I want to be reminded of something, an appointment for example, I would set an alarm.

I use Notes on my iPhone for reminders, shopping lists etc. It works for me.

I use Notes on my I phone and as a family we use Cozi to help remember what everyone is doing and events that are coming up. You can also type in things like remembering to pick something up or appointments. Each item can be programmed to include a start and finish time or it can show “all day” and the name of the person in the family it applies to

Thank you all so much. I’m really not making full use of my phone, that will change. You never know, I may actually become organised!!

teabagwoman I see you have an iPhone. The Reminders app should already be there in your phone and it’s very easy to use. I’d be lost without it. It concerns me at times how much I rely on it for prompts! I add everything to it. It can be a once only reminder which will pop up on a specific date or it can be set for example on a weekly repeat reminder . I have a Thursday evening weekly reminder to put the bin out 😆

I add doctor and dental appointments , library book return dates , friend meet up date reminders etc.

If you just want a list to refer to you’ll find Notes app on your phone. I use that for shopping lists. I might add to it for a few days before I go shopping.

I you want to mark things well ahead and want them to send reminders, all phones have a Calendar App, but I dont use that myself.

I think that Alexa has a to do list that you can add to on your phone or speaker to an Alexa device. I do this with a shopping list and can add things when I’m cooking and know that I’m about to run out of an item.

Teabagwoman you’ve given me an idea now, I shall WhatsApp lists and date them, that way when I delete, anything that still needs doing will remain. Also, when you delete, if Delete for All is selected, then the list remains clean.

Like MiniMoon, I use the calendar on my Samsung mobile. There’s also Samsung Notes app

I use the calendar on my android phone. It reminds me about events and anything I've added to do, usually the day before.

Use Notebook which you can speak into not just write. Tap the microphone symbol bottom right on the Notes App.

I use Notes on the iPhone.

If you have an iphone use the reminders app already installed and create as many lists as you like. It's perfect for your shopping list.

No need to install any other app.

Cotswoldgrannie I use an IPhone.

Wheniwasyourage, I’m using a notebook at present but I never seem to have it on me when I remember something I need to add whereas my phone lives in my pocket.

Retread, I hadn’t thought of Whatsapping myself. I’ll try that but I really want something where I can note down tasks that need doing but maybe not for a month or two.

I use Reminders on my iPhone, also a notebook where I write things down and then have the fun of crossing them off. Together they remind me of most things. (I think...)

For my To Do lists I message myself on WhatsApp (yes, you read right!) and once all done I delete the message.

Have you got an iphone or Android?

I’m going through one of those periods in life when it feels as though I’m being handed more plates than I can possibly spin. I’ve read that there are phone apps that can be used to create to do lists and I’ve had a Google but have come away confused. I’d be really grateful for a recommendation.
