Vacuum Cleaner

DH has managed to do something that I have not done in 58 years of marriage, he has somehow cut through the lead, it's actually burnt out and left black bits all over the carpet. Has anyone got any ideas as to repairing it? The guarantee won't cover it as it's classed as misuse!

Local vacuum repair shop.
Is your husband handy? He could use a connection to join the wire back up.
Is an expensive vacuum?
Cordless Shark are great, & not too expensive, by the time you have paid for a repair & all that 🤔
