Any experience of renovation blue suede shoes?

I've got a lovely pair of blue suede moccasins and a good pair of blue suede boots. Over time they've become scuffed and faded but otherwise in great condition. I read about renovating them with special stuff from Timpson. The only this is that I'm scared of spoiling them by doing it wrong. Any hints and tips?

Yes, make sure that nobody steps on them 😁
Actually, take them into Timpson’s and ask there for advice?

Celtic and co sell cleaning/renovation sprays and brushes that work well on any suede shoes or boots.

The moccasins might be washable in a special protective bag. I also believe that it is possible to re-dye suede shoes with special dye.

I've had a go but the sponge applicator just does blobs of colour and it's hard to spread. Will persevere. Thanks.

There are good clips on YouTube for a guy that renovates old shoes.
Just put up restoring suede shoes.
He also uses one of those hand held steamers whilst cleaning his shoes to get creases out.

Steam and a brush. That’s how I spruced up my suede stilettos many years ago
