Anti Snoring Chin Strap £7 ish on Az

My DH snored/snores. He tried various stickies but they fell off and were of no use to him.
He eventually tried an anti snoring chin strap - non-invasive - and it works for him.
Not the most elegant look when wearing it, but he wears it every night and gets a much better sleep ( as do I )

might be worth checking to see if it would be suitable

I’m not sure if anything really works. I assume you’ve tried those nose strips things? There’s mouth taping which seems popular, and the old tennis ball sewn on nightclothes, to prevent back sleeping trick. If you’re as bad as my SinL - take earplugs for your room-mates.
I’m sorry to pour cold water on things, but I wouldn’t be happy if I found I was sharing with a snorer and wasn’t warned in advance.

I can't afford a single room this time e booked the shared one, in a hostel, before I remembered.
I know there are various devices etc so wondered if Grans have experience of anything that helps.
(I'm also not overweight, don't smoke etc).

My Sister-in-Law snores like a train! She’s not overweight at a 9st size 12, doesn’t have a thick neck nor apnoea - sleeps on her side with her hands clasped like a child in prayer, but she snores like the devil!

She’s knows she does, but on our first holiday away (after her DH died) I didn’t realize how badly and I tried to sleep in the bath at The Waldorf Astoria in NYC!
After that, just beach holidays, where I manage the odd 10 minutes on a poolside sun bed - luckily I don’t need much sleep.

She asked if I could record her snores, which I did. She was mortified, as both she and her late DH were hard of hearing, so he’d never really complained, only mentioning it in passing. So, she sought medical advice, but just got a shrug from her GP.
She lives in Cheshire and holidays once a year with a group of ladies, but this year, no-one will share with her because of the noise. One of ladies prefers her own room, so I’ve told my S-in-L to do the same, as at 80, who knows how many holidays she has left.

You are clearly anxious about your snoring disturbing your room mate. Is it possible to alter the booking so you have a room each? Will be more expensive but perhaps a small price to pay for your peace of mind and a quiet sleep time for your friend! Good luck!
