Audio books for the blind

My Mum was visually impaired and not techy. At first we had Listening Books but I found the RNIB even better. She had a special Daisy player with a memory stick to put in and basically one knob for go and volume. Brilliant. All she has to do with Alexa is talk to her - that's a great idea.

Alexa definitely.
Once the system is set up you can just request the book you want.

My friend is registered with the RN I B, and gets books through Alexa.

Listening Books is subsidised for disabled ... I think it's £20 per year but does come via their app on either phone or laptop.

If she has a mobile phone you can put the app on.her home screen and she can just click on it to listen. You might need to download the books for her if she finds tech hard, but once the book is there you just press play.

Is Audible too awkward?
