Window film

Our dog used to bark every time someone walked down the road. I put some privacy screen half way up that I bought from Amazon. Very easy to do and I am pleased with it. The light diffuses through. In the heat, I was able to sit here rather scantily dressed with no worries.

Be aware that some screening can be seen through if you put your indoor light on!

As Squiffy says be very careful about privacy screening.

What about frosted glass in the window.
Possibly expensive but a permanent solution.

There is already frosted glass fitted but from the outside it is still possible to see images on the inside. I guess my only option is a blind really……..just want to stop the bloke next door from watching me have a wash.

I would hate to think I'm being spied upon when in the bathroom.
Even though you didn't want a blind I'd rather have that than be anxious every time I walked into the bathroom!

Have a look at Nutmeg. They have such a variety of window stickers. I have bought from them twice and the quality is excellent. You would have to make sure about privacy though.

We used to have window film. You can't see in during the day but it doesn't work at night if there's a light on inside. Another draw back is that ours acted like a mirror from the outside during the day so we suffered from birds flying into it. It is also a faff to put up, a bit like putting a screen protector on a phone.
We had new windows fitted and now have blinds.

Would you consider having the glass changed to a more heavily frosted pattern which would increase your privacy?

I’m not talking about having the whole bathroom window changed, just the glass which shouldn’t be too expensive and would be a permanent solution.

Blinds come in various styles and colours ,that would be my choice reading other posters experience with screens

I would swap out the glass for sandblasted glass if your frame is sound.
We have it & I have never needed a blind.
Film quite expensive, not easy to fit, also it can curl up on the corners in a damp environment.

We have a large bathroom window and the bottom frame is frosted. We are not overlooked at the back but Im aware that our naked (if blurred) images are visible. I have solved this with an opaque cafe style net curtain on the bottom pane. Works a treat, still light and airy but private.

If you do decide on a blind I suggest a slatted one that you adjust so you can see out of but they can’t see in.
