Dream Doors. Anyone used them for kitchen makeover?

Yes, I used them years ago.

The doors are still going strong, but the "wrap" they had on them did start to peel, above where the kettle sits.

Saying that, I'd imagine tou can have different finishes, real wood, or whatever you want for the doors, and mine were the budget variety.

In terms of cost and variety, I couldn't fault them.

We looked at replacing doors, but decide that it was too complicated, as all the surrounding edges and kickboards also needed replacing. We had our kitchen doors and drawers spray painted instead, they took the cupboard doors and drawer fronts away and did them, then came back and did all the other stuff that couldn't be moved. We bought new handles which they fitted, it looks like a new kitchen now!

I’ve thought about having my kitchen doors spray painted. They’re solid wood which is why I’m loathe to replace them but what happens about the bits at the side that aren’t solid wood and can’t be removed?

They had a good choice and good workmen to fit them.
I also had new worktops, sink, taps etc.

I was left with a huge gap between the wall and the back of the worktops, but I hadn't paid to get that dealt with.

My worktops are still going strong.
No worn parts, as good as new, I'd say.

I had doors and handles replaced by Dream Doors. I think like most franchises it is the luck of the draw who does the work. My fellow wasn't a handyman he was a joiner, so mine are perfect and would sell my kitchen.

Considering the cupboards themselves are falling apart, i guess it does look pretty good.

Its never occured to me before how hard wearing those work surfaces have been. Bargain!

A few years back their local franchisee turned up in his Mercedes and drove all over my lawn ineptly trying to turn round, although there was plenty of room, damaging the grass. I did not use him.

We used them a few years in our old house and I was really pleased with the result.

We moved house last year and this time we used a company called Joes Doors because their quote came in lower. Equally as pleased with the work they did. They put new quartz tops over your old worktops so it’s less work / mess. Just another option for you to think about. They are a national company like Dream Doors.
