Little girls' hair

I have a niece who has long hair with a cross between kinks, waves and curls.

It is an utter nightmare to wash and dry, takes forever to detangle and can lead to melt downs from her and at times my sister.

As for keeping it neat and tidy, that’s an entirely unachievable goal.

I just wondered if it was a 'thing' to leave the hair matted and very messy.

No, and I've looked online for images and it's disappeared! Sorry, it seems to have gone altogether which is even weirder. It was a close up back view, hair hanging down and Harry kissing her.

One of my Granddaughters has hair which would have been prized by Victorians .
I have the same only her hair is blond .
It is so painful to comb through even with a detangling brush .
I hate going to the hairdressers as they rake through the tight ringlets.
