A business in an area well known and loved by me, closed down. The locals rallied round and with a great deal of work, donations etc, have the business on its feet again. A marvellous result. We frequent this business when in the area. I cannot be more specific as to what the business if…it might be easily found if I did.
I sent them an email, nearly two weeks ago, offering two items, specific to myself and to the area , as a donation. I said they could do with them as they wished. Sell, raffle etc. All proceeds to go to their fund. As we are visiting the area soon, I said I could bring them with me.
I have heard not a word. No yes please, or even Thanks but no thanks,
I find it very frustrating and not a little rude. Am I being naive to expect a reply?
What would you do ?

It may have gone into their spam.

The email could have gone astray or ended up in their junk file and they haven't seen it.

I agree with sago, check your spam folder. Also consider that your email might have gone into their spam folder.

I would suggest you pick up your phone and talk to them. Does no-one do that these days?

Just a thought. Did you ask them to confirm they wanted the items or just said you would drop them off when next in the area?
Either way I think I might have expected a reply but it may not have occurred to them.
