Do you feel no-one listens ro you?

I often feel that people use me as a sunding board and don't want to hear what I've got to say.
I'm talking about one-to-one conversation. I recently rang one friend (who lives in a different part of the country) and I'm not kidding she spoke for about 30 minutes non stop and just overrode me when I tried to get a word in.
After that I spoke to another friend who I see regularly and the same thing happened. When I did get my turn to speak she kept interjecting . Another one I also ring does the same thing. talks at me and doesn't want me to speak.
I try to get a word in but get the impression they only want to get back to speaking themselves, Maybe the answer is not to ring anyone!
