I’m looking for recommendations for curtain hooks that won’t keep slipping off the rings. My present sitting room curtains are only radiator length and not heavy, though I’ve had cotton velvet ones too, they are pencil pleat with white plastic hooks onto rings on a wooden rail. The sofa is in front of the window so I have to lean over it to open and close the curtains, and nine times out of ten at least one hook will slip out. With progressive hip trouble I find it increasingly difficult to stand on the sofa and reach up to hook them back onto the rings. Has anyone tried metal curtain hooks, and are they better than the plastic ones at staying on the rings?
My daughters changed their bedroom curtains to the eyelet type when they still lived at home but I prefer the rings, I just need more reliable hooks!
