My mum died this evening.

Oh such a big shock, even with the ups and downs you've had recently. I'm glad you were able to be there and had good care at the end for your mum and yourselves too. Thinking of you ?

It's a bit of a shock as she was in the lounge on Sunday, chesty yesterday and given antibiotics, the gp called to check on her this afternoon but the home had already called the paramedics who decided she might benefit from going to hospital as she had been doing so well. She was unconscious by the time she got there.

Luckily, both my brothers and I were there with her and the doctors and nurses were brilliant both with mum and with us
