Annie You wrote "so now at peace in ever open arms" what lovely words keep thinking of them when you think of your lovely girl.
Sad news about your sister I hope she recovers.

A fitting send off for someone who was respected and loved by so many. You must be exhausted Annie. Sending love flowers

Swanny Fri 17-Nov-17 09:05:55

Annie hope you managed some sleep last night - it must have been an exhausting day. I remember feeling in limbo during the period between my mother dying and her funeral, as though life had been put on hold. The day after the funeral I woke thinking 'Now what happens?'

I'm sorry to hear about your sister and hope there is encouraging news today. Take great care of yourself. We are all still here with you but we can't physically watch over your energy levels and food intake smile x

I thought of you at 4am Annie, when I lay awake trying to get back to sleep. I hoped that you were sleeping peacefully and if not, that the emtional day had in some way started to ease your pain as you reflected on the massive tributes, paid to your lovely girl.

So many of us sent positive vibes to you to give you strength. Really hope it helped and will do so in the days to come. flowers

(Don't forget to EAT!!!)

I'm glad it went well Annie but sad to gear about your sister. Please let us know her progress.

How are you today? The day after a funeral is a strange day so keep talking to us. And try to eat.

A full cathedral speaks volumes about how your daughter was regarded Annie. You must have felt so proud of her. I hope you have good news about your sister in the morning.

You must be exhausted annie but pleased so many attended the service for your daughter. It shows how much people respected and cared for her. I'm sorry you have the extra worry of your sister being ill now.

Try and get some rest tonight and think of your DD being at peace and watching over you as you have always watched over her.

Jalima1108 Thu 16-Nov-17 23:03:36

I am so glad for you that you managed to be there today Annie. The service for your daughter sounds as if it was beautiful and a fitting tribute from people who knew her and loved her.

Goodness, a full cathedral in her honour! Clearly she was a very special person. But then, look at her Mum!!

Sleep well Annie. God bless.

NfkDumpling Thu 16-Nov-17 22:40:07

So glad all went well - and the van and marvellous driver got you over that bridge and you were able to see how your wonderful daughter was loved by so many. A fantastic tribute to her.

I hope your sister recovers well and you can see her soon.

Father M asked me to say a few things about my girl , the Cathedral doesn't 'do' eulogies. I mailed him and said what a lovely child and woman she was etc. He read it out in the service . I didn't go to the crematorium but my priest spoke there and he spoke to my grandchildren saying how long he had known their mother and how loved she was, this meant a lot to me.

So she is now at peace in the ever open arms

Bathsheba Thu 16-Nov-17 22:32:20

Annie a full cathedral! All those people who loved your daughter and wanted to give up their time in a wonderful show of love and respect for her. You must have been so proud, so touched. I'm sure the day was hard for you to bear, but it must have been so uplifting for you as well.
I'm so sorry to hear about your sister, however, and sincerely hope the news is better in the coming days.
I do hope you can get some sleep tonight, knowing you have done so well by your girl today. Time to take care of yourself now, Annie.
Still in my prayers, God bless xx

cornergran Thu 16-Nov-17 22:18:53

Oh annie, more worry for you. You must be tired after today. Having said that the tribute to your beloved daughter was wonderful and how wonderful you found a way to be there. Many people loved her as many love you. I hope you can relax and get some rest tonight. Sending you love.
