We don't seem to have regular cemetery staff here anymore it must be contracted out. It's either looking very neglected or else cut back to the ground.

On one visit I found someone who agreed to put more top soil on the family grave although not as much as I was hoping. They like to keep it low so the mowers can pass easily I was told. No flooding thank goodness.

No floods to speak of here, it looks we’ve got off lightly.

We have had the cemetries flooded here in Lancashire, all you could see are the top few feet of the headstones, goodness knows what state things will be in once the floods subside!

We have a lovely cemetery in the village which was always kept in good order. We visited the Bodach’s grave again today, and were horrified to see that it had sunk by almost two feet, was full of water, and none of the flowers had been removed. These were things which would always have been attended to before. How sad that ‘ cutbacks’ have meant that there are only a few workers to cover the whole area.
