Such sad news Merlotgran I hope the messages on here have been a tiny crumb of comfort, we will all be thinking of you.

Hospice at home is such a wonderful service, I volunteer for the local one here, it is a shame more parts of the Country don't have access. The hospice will still be there for you in the days and weeks ahead, providing counselling and complementary therapy should you be able to make use of them, do keep in touch with them.

So very sorry to hear this. You are certainly in my thoughts. Hoping you find comfort and strength at this sad time. X ?

This is so sad, my sincere condolences. I’m glad he was comfortable at the end.

So sorry to hear your sad news Merlotgran. I know from experience that even though you know a loved one is near the end of their life, it is still a huge shock when they pass. Hopefully having him home for his last weeks with you and his beloved dog is a comfort to you. Take care, you are in all our thoughts.
