Lovely poem. Too often those of us who have lost someone put on a front to "join in the fun". Since being widowed I have spent all but 2 Christmas Days alone - that way I can have a little cry before remembering all the lovely fun times I had with DH.

Lovely sentiments when remembering a lovely lady. Of course Christmas is a time of year lots of us will be thinking of Phoenix - when we attempt to cook our Christmas gammon joints ? Her description of wrestling with the blummin' thing is hilarious, I loved her sense of humour and miss her amusing take on life.

That poem made me cry. Christmas is so hard for those of us who have lost someone.

Yes It’s hard for many people for many reasons but when you tell people you don’t like Christmas you get “oh Scrooge ! Grinch !’

Lovely poem

This was posted on Facebook in Rachel. (Phoenix ) ‘s memory this morning by her friend Hollie.
I thought those who knew. Phoenix and miss her but also all who are missing a loved one might like to share it

If Christmas is hard ,
If you’ve lost someone dear.
Just look in your heart,
And you’ll know they’re still here.

The star in the sky,
The light falling snow.
The robin outside,
It seems like they know.

If this is a time,
When you’re struggling through.
Just do what you can,
For what matters, is you.

There’s no need to be merry,
There’s no need to be bright.
Just do what you can,
It will all be all right
