My heart goes out to you, both for your loss, and because you sound so lonely, naturally enough.

It's is always afternoon before anything from Gransnet turns up on my computer, so I hope you are not struggling on completely alone apart from all of us on Gransnet who have answered.

AC can indeed be a blessing - it takes me by surprise each time they show me that they are really grown-ups now.
Hang on in there.

our daughter and our son-in-law handled everything...stayed nite and day..hospice and all medications...
i handed everything to them to make all decisions...
they came today with a new bed for me and peaches our last little dog..
they held pawpaw like a baby and saw to all so I could prepare my soul..mind
i had the time to be with him in the way he and me needed..
What a blessing to see our kids just shine and love us so much..

I've got no advice for you Skeeter as I haven't been in your situation.
Lots of love and support from other people here who do know how you feel, hope it helps xx
