Double funeral

Had a bit of a shock yesterday evening.

Dont want to write too many details.

Read some obituaries, as starting to miss the occasional funeral of people I know.

Found someone I knew on there who I didnt know had died.
And the funeral has been postponed as her son has died some days afterwards. I am related to both of them. Very few relatives on that particular bit of the family.

Not even sure why I am writing really.

It has been a bit of a surprise and shock.

I'm sorry to hear that fancythat. Not hearing beforehand but by reading an obituary would give you a shock. My condolences

I can understand why you are shocked. A double funeral of relatives, even if you were not close must be very upsetting.thanks

That would have been a shock for you fancythat flowers

My brother died four weeks after my Mum so I can empathise.
He was executor for my Mum too, so extra stress on top of the grief

I could write quite a bit, but it would out me.

A step family[not related to me] is dealing with things for the time being.

Sorry about your family situation Grannybags.

fancythat My condolences, a sudden death, let alone 2, of even relatives one rarely sees, is a shock.

I think people fall into two groups, some, like you, and me, need to tell people to make it seem real, others just want to roll into a ball and tell no-one.

Very sorry for you **fancythat.

One death is very hard to take - but two is horrendous.
Sending you condolences.

A lovely lady I know lost her son a couple of years ago in rather tragic circumstances. Her husband then passed away suddenly. They were not old. My heart goes out to her every time I see her but I have seen that she is doing a lot of voluntary work so hopefully she feels she can move forward in that.
