That is terrible, I seem to remember your thread, or perhaps it was a follow up to the original post. Anyway your niece has behaved in a very strange and hurtful manner, and as SueDomin suggested, would step back from this person and you will at least have a relationship with your nephew.
Am so sorry you have lost your brother and sister and had to deal with all the stress of such a difficult situation as well as your grief.

I read your other thread, Bea65. I am so sorry you’ve now lost your sister, too. flowers

I wouldn’t want a relationship with my niece any more. What would be the point? At least you have contact with your nephew.

You do wonder what is wrong with people. My own brother has completely ‘ghosted’ me since my Dh died in April. He didn’t even acknowledge Dh’s passing, 100% radio silence. I want nothing more to do with him. He has no family of his own and our older siblings are dead so he’s going to be a lonely old man and quite frankly, I really don’t care.

My only sister died last week - my niece who forbade me telling her of our brothers demise - have another post on this dilemma ….

So disrespectful and callous that I wasn’t informed

To add to this shocking announcement -my nephew offered his condolences to me thinking I was informed and in my state of hurt, I told him I wasn’t allowed to tell Sis, our brother had died ,

I now know, my SIS died on the funeral date of our brother😢 Life can be so cruel but I can’t forgive my niece for not allowing me to share this passing and to not inform me about SIS - am so hurt
