My free copy arrived today. I don't want to sound an ungrateful killjoy but after reading the first 30 pages I am not that impressed. I usually give up if I'm not 'into' a book by page 50 so will see how things progress!

Funny I really enjoyed it. No two people alike! Keep going you may get into it.

You don't have to like it! You don't have to have any opinions about it at all, but if you do, might be worth asking Katarina Mazetti why she did it the way she did...

I've already mentioned that I read this very quickly and enjoyed it a lot...I had more sympathy with Benny than Shrimp but found the ending a bit unsatisfying. Wondered how much was changed by translation (it was translated wasn't it?)

I read Benny and the Shrimp in one sitting last week and really enjoyed it. It is not a book I would normally choose but liked the format and it was well written.

Well here I am again and I have now finished the book. My first comments are irrelevant now as I did rather enjoy the book. I was keen to keep picking it up to see what developed. Quite a simple storyline but then I do enjoy those sort of books. I can't stand ones with complicated interweaving plots with lots of characters. Reading has to be a pleasure and I must admit that I found Benny and Shrimp quite enjoyable.

My free copy arrived the other day, so thank you. I have read the book and my feeling was, a bit odd! the ending was a bit strange and frustrating. A quite enjoyable read though.

I empathised with benny and shrimp, having been a dairy farmer, and I know it is so difficult to get time off, at least a whole day without rushing home to milk the cows! Lovely story but not quite sure about the ending! Are there any other farming ladies out there?
