I heard her on today this morning too and read all about it in a Sunday magazine last weekend. She said some very good things about sixty-something women which the young journalist interviewing her seemed to find new and amazing. Where's she been in her thirty-something world. Has she no mother?!
Things like: we're the baby boomers (!!) and we're used to dressing well and fashionably, we dye our hair, have Botox (yuk not this one!), are educated....blah blah. Then she went and spoiled it all by having a go at flat shoes and trousers with elasticated waists. Personally, I wouldn't trade my jegginngs and Hotter shoes for anything and have discovered elasticated denim trousers which look just like jeans. If being a modern older woman means anything, it's noy having to be a slave to fashion anymore.
Nuff said!!
