What's your favourite ghost story for Halloween?

I have just downloaded D. I. Ghost by Lauren White for free from Kindle for a friend. I like it because it's ghostly and funny rather than frightening. I prefer my ghosts more friendly than fiendish. It seems to me the genre is a little out of vogue at the moment - most of the ghost stories I know are the old ones. Does anyone know of any good newer ones - not too scary though.
