...to the Gnetter who recently recommended the Young Samuari books in a thread. I bought the first two in the series for grandson age 12, and he is absolutely delighted. Turns out tbat one of his mates is into these books and is always talking about them. So now they can both chat. smile

I wish I could claim credit but it wasn't me. However, Jingle, you are a lovely grandma for introducing your grandson to these books - is he the one who did that lovely bit of negotiating with you recently? It sounds a lovely relationship...

It was me Jinglbells who recommended the Young Samurai series. So very pleased that your grandson likes these books.

He may also enjoy the Bodyguard series too by Chris Bradford. These are modern day adventure stories and the first in the series 'Bodyguard Hostage' has just won The Brillant Book Award 2014.
