Sorry folks, I know there was another thread about this author, but it was quite a while ago so I thought I'd refresh all Sanson fans.
Received and e.mail from his website the other day and was delighted to learn about another Matthew Shardlake novel coming out in the middle of October. I can't wait smile

I like some of the Shardlake series and not others, but think his other novels are much better,Winter In Madrid is a fantastic book.

I love the Shardlake novels so am pleased there is another on the way, but not read any of his others books. Would anyone recommend those too?

Purple, DH has read Winter in Madrid and Dominion, I haven't yet got around to these but he recommends them very highly.

So looking forward to this - I've had awful withdrawal since Heartstone. I hadn't read any historical fiction for years because it all seemed so made up but I picked up Dissolution when I was desperate for something to read and I was instantly hooked. They are so well researched and based on actual events - I love them.
