I love thgse books, mostly buy them at Amazon, and mostly on my kindle now,
~They are a huge series of books on the same lines--loads of heartwarming short true stories by ordinary people on a particular subject.

The one I am reading now is on "Forgiveness" as that relates to me right now. But there are so many----something for everyone.
It is worth checking one out if you have not tried them yet. You can just dip in and out, whenevber you want.

I would love to know if anyone else loves the chicken soup books,.

Me again. Yes, I love these books. I have just read one about Mothers and Sons. I especially love the dog ones and at Christmas they form part of my tradition now to read one of the Christmas ones and enjoy the stories of other children etc. as mine are all grown up.

Which others have you read mariana? smile

Talking of twaddle and nonsense by sister gave me to Agatha Raisen novels to take on holiday which she said were twaddle and nonsense or words to that effect - I loved them. Haven't come across Chicken soup.... books though- they don't sounds like me at all even though I do enjoy some twaddle and nonsense.

Well, I guess we are all entitled to our opinions.Just now the "forgiveness" book is helping me a great deal.

Rubylady, I have read so many others that I cannot remember them . i have the dog one, the cat one, the pet one, but cannot bring myself to read them in case I cry. !! My sister sent me a "sisters" one, also a music one. I have loads at home, plus lots more on my Kindle.

Sometimes we need to have a bit of light relief in our reading. I will look these books up.

That is true. the stories are not intellectual, but they can be very moving, I confess I sometimes am in tears--occasionally sad, occasionally happy.!!
