Summer makes you feel so good

I just love sitting by my beach hut, listening to the gentle sound of the water as it comes in, or watching the sea birds when the tide is out. It's a great place to read too!

Simply feeling the sunshine on my skin and feeling my bones absorbing it, it makes me feel like eating more healthily too which can only be a bonus!

As I sit and look out my window I have to say its the rain as it's all we seem to to get but I wish the sun would come out so we could all smile and get are Sun dress back on

the excitement of the summer holidays and spending quality time with the family

the grandchildren come and stay. Love seeing them and taking them to places I love, or just the beach. I miss the company of children and sometimes regret moving so far away. But I do get them for a week or two at a time.

Throughout the summer I enjoy picking, cooking and eating the fresh fruit and vegetables we have grown throughout the year. It's even better if some of our grandchildren are with us because they enjoy the experience as well: "Granny, this is brilliant!"

My favourite thing about summer is watching the plants I have grown from seedlings the months before blossom into beautiful flowers, it gives me great satisfaction. Then able to lie in the shade with a good book the fragrances of my lovely blossoms filling the air.

Spending more time with my granddaughters during the school holidays, taking them away to the coast and at the end of a busy day relaxing with a good book

Sand between my toes and a purse for ice cream money.....just for me!

Summer means holidays and time to sit back in the warmth with a cool drink and just READ (and this collection really would mean summer - probably several summers!)

Enjoying coverage of Wimbledon fortnight,including the indulgence of the odd glass of chilled Prosecco with strawberries and cream!

My favourite things about Summer has to be the lazy afternoons, surrounded by flowers and watching the bumble bees and butterfly dot about, whilst reading a good book with a cool drink. Heaven!

My favourite thing about summer?.........the long days.

Not needing to wear as many clothes, not having to turn on the lights at 2.30pm, not having to put a coat on just to bring in logs and coal, not worrying about the heating bill.

Long light evenings, sitting by the garden pond with a glass of wine and a good book, DBH and I side by side.

Furry lawnmower optional.

I love the sunlight in the bedroom in the morning and the warmth in the evening.Summer fruits are delicious!

I enjoy watching all the birds busy in the garden getting on with their lives, making nests ,preparing for their offspring.I love planting seeds and watching them grow into strong ,beautiful plants with lovely flowers-summer best season of all!

Picnics on the beach and the sound of children's laughter.

I like the long light evenings

The best thing about summer is seeing my grandchildren splash about in their paddling pool, while my (adult) sons lounge about in theirs.

My favourite thing about summer is spending time with my family on trips to the seaside and forgetting the every day for a little while, it's like magic xxx
