At the moment it is having my two very small grandsons visit - and letting them do things they have never done before - picking and eating a pea pod, eating an ice cream, learning to drink through a straw, being allowed to 'team and ladle' with water in the garden. Lovely!
Fabulous book selection. I enjoy the fact everything seems easier and everyone friendlier. It reminds me of the song by porgy and Bess. It's Summertime and the livin is easy.
going fruit picking is wonderful in summer the children loved it and now the grandchildren love to come to ours so we can "go picking" strawberries hot in the sun mmmmmmm wonderful
favourite thing about summer going up our allotment picking home grown strawberries, blackcurrants runner beans etc all home grown and so fresh and tasty
Sitting in the garden in the sunshine with my grandson, watching the iridescent bubbles from his bubble machine rising and popping in a rainbow of colours.
My favourite thing about summer is definitely being able to spend more time outside, especially with friends and family. Spending time in the sun has a very calming and positive effect on me
So much sport on tv in the summer. Wimbledon, The Ashes and lots of other cricket, some soccer, athletics, speedway, golf and more. I do not like being outside in the sun so watching sport indoors is ideal for me.
The Harper Lee book - Go Set a Watchman - is out 14July and you can preorder from Amazon now - this one is also available on Kindle so I have ordered that.
Summer is the time to relax, enjoy the great outdoors and spend time with a book. With so many great reads available I'm spoilt for choice! I always like to pass on any books I read rather than leave them to gather dust on a shelf, others can enjoy them too.
Now this is definitely my kind of prize. My favourite thing about summer is the light mornings and evenings, being able to eat outside and enjoy the warmer summer weather for longer.
I love the longer days, so the curtains stay open, I love the light as it makes me feel happier. I love the warmth, and the feel of lighter clothes, which are brighter and make me feel happier. I love the blue coloured sky, rather than a grey angry sky it gives me more energy and makes me happier. I love having time to read a book, without feeling guilty, it makes me so happy.
