THe Cast-Off Kids

This book by Trisha Merry is her account of being a foster parent but many years ago . I have read it in one day and am so sad to finish and hear how the lives of her foster children were turned upside down by the social services. I know some of the things that happened then would not happen now like giving children back to a mother who did not really know them and for it all to break down in days leaving the children bereft . Her first book was also well worth reading it is called "Four Waifes on our doorstep " . I hope she writes more books but I read this was a two book deal . So sad for these children who were innocent pawns in their parents lives.
