I was lucky to win this book from a gransnet giveaway and it arrived today. I've spent a pleasant hour looking through it and there are quite a few recipes in it that I am looking forward to trying for example chicken Kiev, halibut in garlic breadcrumbs, pork and ginger stew, and quite a lot of the home baking recipes. I like how it has been divided into sections: breakfasts, lunches, dinners, desserts, baking and finally, preserves. There don't seem to be loads of ingredients for each recipe and they seem straightforward to follow. It is nicely illustrated and there are occasional notes about her Icelandic and Irish heritage and the recipes she shares are based on these roots. Can't wait to give some a try! Thank you gransnet team for this book.
