Apologies if this book has been a focus previously.. not been around for a while.

I found it both fascinating, exciting and extremely sad. A good social history of the 1930s rural life with alarming parallels to current political climate. Well worth a read..whatever you political views.

This was one of the best books I read last year. Thoroughly recommend it! I was totally enthralled by the story and how the events played out. Brilliant book!
