My 7 year old granddaughter has just enjoyed Charlott's Web as a bedtime story though she did find it a little bit sad.

I recently bought Fearless Fairytales by Connie Huq( former Blue Peter presenter) for my 7yr old granddaughter and her 5yr old brother and they love it. Just released a few weeks ago, it’s a modern and amusing take on traditional fairy tales.

Although don’t restrict your search to 7 year old girls, just put in 7 year olds.Girls like adventure books too!
Enid Blyton, David Walliams, Tom Gates, and what about some classic books like The Secret Garden, Tom’s Midnight Garden etc.

If you go onto the dreaded Amazon site and put in books for 7-9 year old girls - or similar - you will get a list and you could have browse through.

We can't see our 7-year old granddaughter at the moment but have the great pleasure of reading her bedtime story every Sunday night over Skype. We are now running out of books, so can anyone suggest any she might like? She loves dancing, gymnastics, and her cockapoo puppy, as well as most other animals. When I look online it is hard to work out what age group a particular book would suit, so any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
