Did you mean "Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China"?
The book is amazing! It's worth every spent minute. After reading this book a few years ago I started recommending it to everyone ))))

I do enjoy a good Victorian murder mystery, (not gory ones) but a good mystery and enjoy the social background descriptions. It makes you realise the times we live in ,at the moment, are bliss compared to back then. Once I have finished reading that type of book I will read a Lucinda Riley or Susan Sallis book, The comparison of life styles then and now makes me appreciate being alive now. The age of technology has its advantages.

I read Wild Swans many years ago and really enjoyed it. Has anyone read Sky Burial by Xinran, also about Chinese women, in fact about one woman in particular. A beautiful story. Google it if interested. I love books by Xinran such as short stories she wrote called The Good Women of China.

I am so glad i have it as an audio book, i listen to it whilst knitting. If i had to read it i would have given up by now, so many names to try and remember plus as i said before my eyes get so tired when reading, a couple of pages and i would have to put it down. This way i can just relax and listen to the wonderful voice of the reader.

I read the Wild Swans about 10 years ago but I can still remember how much I enjoyed it, an excellent book.

A long read, but I really enjoyed it.

I also read it years ago army recollection is that it was excellent.

I got muddled as it is about three generations of women.

Winston Graham wrote a book called 4 Swans in the Poldark series.

I am currently reading Wild Swans by Jung Chang, first published in 1992. An interesting read especially now with the situation in Hong Kong.

I read that one Wild Swans a few years ago from library. I don't remember being gripped by it. I will google Three Swans now!
