I'm totally hooked on these at the moment. I recently discovered Mark Edwards' brilliant books, and several others.

I’ve just read Their Little Secret, a Mark Billingham book, I’ll be looking for his others. Another that goes back to the library today: The Doctor, Lisa Stone. Thoroughly enjoyed both of them.

If you haven't read it yet, Gone Girl is always a good option.

My favourite genre! I love Karin Slaughter books, they can be rather gruesome but have a good plot.

My favourite genre as well! Love Karin Slaughter books, really gruesome but with a good plot.

nanna8, we do love being scared - in a 'safe' way. It's what makes babies begin to laugh, after all.

Apart from rollercoasters, I'm a big fan of everything thrilling - books, films, true crime series - bring them on!

Thanks sodapop. Yes, some of them are very trashy, I agree.

The market is flooded with this genre at the moment. Unfortunately a lot of them are complete rubbish.
I like Michael Robotham, Emma Curtis, M. Arlidge, Susan Hill.

I like these books, sicko that I am. I am currently reading a Peter Abrahams book called ‘ The Tutor’ which is pretty good once you get into it. Any recommendations? I don’t really like sci-fi ,more things that could actually happen !
