Perhaps especially these days it's comforting to read 'feelgood' books. I'm just finishing Fanny Flagg's (unfortunate name!) latest book
A sequel to her 'Fried Green Tomatoes' book. There's just something endearing about the way she writes. Any other fans out there?

Hello Aveline I have not read any of her books but love the film Fried green tomatoes at the Whistle stop café. Perhaps I should start exploring some of her writing too.

You wouldn't regret it.

Ooh, they’re available on Audible too. Thanks for the tip Aveline, I just bought Fried Green Tomatoes and will get the next one in a couple of weeks. I have a stack of books waiting to be listened to.

'A Red Bird Christmas' is lovely. She's written so many books. Set in America but the characters she writes about are somehow so recognisable and likeable.
