I was reading an interesting article in the DM today about the author James Patterson. I’ve never read any of his books. Can you recommend one of his books to start with? Thanks.

I can't recommend one of his novels but I've just read The Last Days of John Lennon by James Patterson. It was a bit fanciful.

The Alex Cross books are easy reading. Amazon will have a chronological list

The Women's Murder Club series is the only James Patterson series I read. Mostly now he lends his name to other authors as Co writer. His books are some of the most borrowed in our small library. Easy reading but not much meat on the bones.
I think he has done a lot to encourage young people to read more.

He's written books in collaboration with others. I did like the one he wrote with Bill Clinton, and another with Hillary Clinton.

I`m a great James Patterson fan. The Alex Cross books are great, but best read from the beginning, in order.

Another James Patterson fan. Easy reading. Agree that the Alex Cross series need to be read in order, as his family is often part of the story.

I used to read every James Patterson book, but in recent years I found them increasingly violent and went off them. As others have said The Alex Cross and Women's Murder Club are good, and best read in order.

Thanks folks I’ll try one of the series you mention at 99p on Kindle.

I always used to feel guilty if I didn’t like a book I was reading and forced myself to finish it. Now I just delete it on my Kindle easy peasy.
