Has anyone else read this book, 19 Steps, by Millie Bobbie Brown, the young actress who was in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes? I thoroughly enjoyed it, even had a cry a couple of times. It’s a novel based around true events of a Second World War tragedy as told to the author by her Gran. I really recommend this one.

Yes, I have read "19 Steps" by Millie Bobbie Brown and I understand your point. It is a moving book, especially when you know it is founded on true happenings. Brown was very good at showing the feelings from that period. It's amazing how she mixes her grandmother's tale into an interesting story. I would also recommend this. If you like history in stories that feel personal, this book is very satisfying.
