I have one which was ‘embroidered’ by one of my daughters when in Primary school.. She gave it to me with such a proud smile on her face, bless her. I don’t think she has sewn anything since, and she’s 56 now! 😂

I had a crochet one that my cousin made for me that I was fond of. I lost it on the train coming home from her funeral, still upset about that even though I have many other momentos of her.

What bookmarks do others use?

Mine is a leather one, (maybe fake ‘leather’) with my home county’s name and picture on it.

I found it amongst my late mum’s possessions when we were sorting her stuff. Like me, she was an avid reader. The bookmark was brand new, however.

Every tine I open my current book and remove the bookmark, I smile and think of how pleased she would be to see me using this simple little item, and remembering her.
