I’m often looking for new reads. I haven’t read anything by Ruth Jones, thanks for the idea. I’ll take a look on Audible, I have a couple of free credits to use.

I think Charlotte Butterfield is similar. Easy writing style with a bit of humour.

Also Clare Chambers, Deborah Moggach

I really enjoyed Mix Tape by Jane Sanderson and Talking at Night by Claire Daverley - both first novels.

I have nearly finished Ruth Jones’ latest book By Your Side. Thoroughly enjoying it, one of those that will feel like a bereavement when finished. Have read all of her others, all good but this latest one is definitely my favourite.

Could anyone recommend any authors who write a decent, engrossing story please. Not looking for literary masterpieces!
