Books For TV.

I have recently enjoyed Susie Dent’s ‘Guilty by Definition’ and thought it would make a good tv series.

Calendargirl have just finished reading the Yorkshire Murder Mysteries agree they would make a good TV series.

I wish the rest of Elizabeth Gaskell’s novels were dramatised, including more Trollope.
Please no more Austen/Dickens remakes🙄

Donna Leon's wonderful detective stories, set in Venice would make great viewing - glorious setting ✓, likeable hero✓, interesting plots✓.

Kingmaker by Sonia Purnell
It's a biography of Pamela Churchill, Daughter in Law of Winston. I listened to it on Audible and it would make a brilliant mini series. Fascinating life, from her "contributions" during the 2nd World War to ending up being the American Ambassador in France. Who she didn't know, wasn't worth knowing.

Grandmothers by Sally Vickers.
A delightful book about 3 GM from different backgrounds and their interaction with a grandchild. Currently listening on audio and can't stop listening to it.

I haven't read the book Mix Tape but I saw the television listings and all the reviews look good.

I am looking forward to watching it.

I loved the book 'Mix Tape'.

It has been made into a four part series on BBC starting this Tuesday - 15th July.

Longbourn - told from the point of view of the servants in the Bennet household.

The Other Bennet Sister - a story about Mary, the 'overlooked' Bennet sister.

I've just read these two books and enjoyed them both.

With all the interest in Jane Austen this year these books would make excellent series.
