A Twitter friend recommended this author for me and he sounds like somebody I’d enjoy. Just started listening to The Portable Door on Audible and really enjoying it so far.

I'm glad I discovered this thread as I love his Mapp and Lucia books-he can write almost perfectly in the style of E.F. Benson and I wish he would write another!
