A sad week for readers

Oh, no, I hadn't heard about Joanna Trollope.

I've read books by both authors. Memories of Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholics" being uproariously funny, the movie didn't do the first one of those justice.

Joanna Trollope wrote some great books, more at the outset, she really nailed family dynamics very well in them. I don't think some of her later stuff was quite as good. Thoroughly recommend these of hers: The Rector's Wife, A Spanish Lover, A Village Affair, Other People's Children.

I read Sophie Kinsella when she wrote as Madeleine Wickham, not so much the Shopaholic books, and I read most of Joanna Trollope, always so perceptive about family relationships.
Sad to think there will be no more.

I have read most of their books, and of course we lost the fabulous Jilly Cooper a few weeks ago.

I am currently rereading the entire Rutshire Chronicles from Riders to Tackle (I am half way through Jump)
